Here you'll find the application format for the position of Sergeant within the Security Department, note that to be eligible to apply.

You will need to meet the Following Prerequisites

If you do not meet the standard requirements found above your application will be denied, no exceptions.

Here's a little summary of what to expect/do if your application is accepted or denied including seperate requirements.

If accepted you'll be invited to a short interview phase on discord to verify if you're capable and fit from an OOC standpoint.
If denied you'll be on a cooldown period no longer than one week, starting from the point when the verdict was given out.
While awaiting a verdict, you should not ask for someone to review or bump your application. (We'll review it when we find necessary/when we've come to a verdict.)
Do not advertise your application.

Extra point if you fill out the Employee File, it is not required but it could be considered as a bonus depending on the effort you put into it.

How active do you estimate you can be, especially during weekends?: (Hours a day/week) I go to school and work almost all weekdays, but I’m free in the mornings on Saturdays and completely free on Sunday

Qualities and qualifications you can bring: Served as a Military Police Officer in the Marine Corps for 16 years. Serving in 3 different tours, all located in various places in Afghanistan.
Why we should prioritize you over other participants: Ability to lead, coordinate and investigate suspected individuals.

CHARACTER SECTION

Backstory: Michael Jameson III was born and grew up in a small town in Georgia. His dad, Michael Jameson Jr., and his grandfather, Michael Jameson Sr., were both Marines, dying honorably in the Middle East and in Vietnam, respectively, before he was born. This inspired Jameson III to follow in their footsteps and join the Marine Corps as soon as he graduated from High School in 2008. Jameson was shipped off to Paris Island and then shipped off to Afghanistan in July of 2009 after newly elected Barrack Obama recommits to the cause. After spending 16 years in the Marine Corps, he had risen to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. After rising to a comfortable rank, he decides to leave the Marine Corps and apply to Black Mesa so as to continue his path as an NCO.

Have you held a leadership role on Limefruit's last iteration, specifically Security?: I've been a security sergeant on previous iterations, but I have lead other factions.
How active do you estimate you can be, especially during weekends?: (Hours a day/week): Truthfully speaking, a few days a week maximum as I am currently a university student. Limefruit is the community I am most active in and I intend to be most active on BMRP when the server opens up again as I have done in previous iterations.
Are you fluent in English, both writing and speaking?: Yes, English is my first language.

Qualities and qualifications you can bring: I have expansive knowledge in security and discipline as a result of my time within the army, I believe that I am able to enforce and assist the staff and visitors of Black Mesa effectively.
Why we should prioritize you over other participants: My experience and dedication to the job, I do not have any ties here which would conflict with my duties, I believe I have the personal qualities and experiences to effectively lead the security force of our sector within the parameters of my job, as a sergeant I would ensure that officers under my supervision perform as expected.

CHARACTER SECTION

Backstory: (minimum around 600 characters):

Connor was born in 1964 to a single mother in Yorkshire, England. His childhood as the oldest of three sons was tough, he often got into fights over issues that threatened his pride or those who insulted his family. After an unremarkable progression through school, Connor trained in carpentry and worked within a scaffolding company for 5 years. At the age of 25, his youngest brother Jake passed away in a vehicular collision at age 20 which marked the start of Connors mental decline. Shortly after this, Connor was sacked from his job after a conviction of petty assault and class C drug possession, he decided to join the army at age 28 after 3 years of unemployment, serving in the Gulf War. Connor experienced more loss as during a routine patrol, his squadron was ambushed and most of his comrades died in the pursuing fire and explosives, he survived but lost his left leg and required acute surgery and use of a prosthetic leg. Connor was discharged in 1993, aged 30, he met a girl called Alisha and married her two years later. His mental health rapidly declined shortly after the war, having multiple mental health diagnoses but little support, he began chain smoking and developed COPD a few years later. Connor attempted on multiple occasions to seek help for his mental health, but felt he was not listened to and failed to show for routine appointments. One day he decided he needed to leave everything in order to allow himself to heal, so he packed his bags and left for America, moving from state to state in the months ahead. He settled in New Mexico six months prior to starting at Black Mesa, applying for a position in security as he believed this role to be in his skill capabilities. He is currently seeking the mental health services of the company.
