Here you'll find the application format for the position of Lieutenant within the Security Department, note that to be eligible to apply.

You will need to meet the Following Prerequisites

If you do not meet the standard requirements found above your application will be denied, no exceptions.

Here's a little summary of what to expect/do if your application is accepted or denied including seperate requirements.

If accepted you'll be invited to a short interview phase on discord to verify if you're capable and fit from an OOC standpoint.
If denied you'll be on a cooldown period no longer than two weeks, starting from the point when the verdict was given out.
While awaiting a verdict, you should not ask for someone to review or bump your application. (We'll review it when we find necessary/when we've come to a verdict.)
Do not advertise your application.
Current application reviewers are @Thermal-Carpet and myself, if you have any questions about applying ask before you submit your application.
You have to fill out the Employee File, due to the Lieutenant role being more limited than the position of Sergeant already is, this is a requirement. You can paste a link to your personal Employee File on the bottom of the application.

Have you held a leadership role on Limefruit's last iteration, specifically Security?: No, not in security no.
How active do you estimate you can be, especially during weekends?: I work 3 days a week, weekends included. When I work weekends I can work nights or mornings. When I work Mornings I should be active sometime after 3 or 4, when I work nights I should be active before 5 or 4. So estimated I should be able to play around 4 or 6 days a week.
Are you fluent in English, both writing and speaking?: Yes
Did you previously or do you hold any other leadership positions on different characters, if so which one's?: Yes, all in the science faction. I've been Science Director, Head of Biology 2 times, and Head of Physics Once. All of those characters would be Reggie Bennett, David Wallace, Carl Del-Rio, and Eustace Ollenburger.

Qualities and qualifications you can bring: Meets all qualifications, brings not only qualities from law enforcement, but from being an Eagle scout too.
Why we should prioritize you over other participants: Has been in Security for 7 years, Has been in Law Enforcement for 20 years, and was in Boyscouts. Also looks incredibly like John Wayne.
How do you perform under pressure, are you able to make split-second decisions?: With his past experience, he will do well with not only split second decisions, but any timed decisions. Comes up with a quick strategy; plan for any dire situation.
List your three best traits for the Lieutenant position and why do you think they're your best characteristics: Dependable, Courageous, trustworthy. Dependable Because you can count on him to be there in the right situation. Courageous
because nothing will keep him down in the task at hand. Trustworthy because he's stuck to his word ever since.

CHARACTER SECTION

Backstory:
Jett Luther Harris was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His father, Frank Harris, was a New Mexico state trooper for 25 years when Jett was born. His mother, Diana Salamanca, was a nurse in Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque. Both of Jett's parents actually met in that hospital when Frank Harris was shot in the vest and was sent there for a check. When Jett was a Junior in Albuquerque Highschool, his father died in the line of duty when he was ambushed on a highway by some cartel members. When Jett graduated he went and took criminal justice in college. He was recruited into the sheriffs office when he was 25 and stayed there for 20 years, during that time period he became a state trooper. When he was 45, he was medically discharged after getting his arm shot to hell by a home intruder after then he took partial security positions while trying to find a full time position. He then got a recommendation from a friend who worked at a research facility called "Black Mesa". He made an application and it was accepted with 2 weeks.

Have you held a leadership role on Limefruit's last iteration, specifically Security?: No, but the highest I have gotten was Sergeant.
How active do you estimate you can be, especially during weekends?: (Hours a day/week) Daily.

Did you previously or do you hold any other leadership positions on different characters, if so which one's?: As I mentioned, in the previous iteration I did not. However in the new iteration, I do hold the position of Deputy Head for Engineering & Ops.
Do you understand that the Lieutenant role is very limited and expectations will be high?: Yes.

Date of Birth: 20th of November, 1995
Date of Employement: December 16th, 2015
Qualities and qualifications you can bring: Was a security for 2 years in a few locations such as malls, restricted zones, etc. and ever since has been security at Black Mesa. Physically fit and can perform under pressure. Has trained with a handgun at a shooting range and played airsoft.
Why we should prioritize you over other participants?: Because I have been a security in this facility for far too long and know what the codes are, regulations, and how to give orders to other security. And I can perform efficiently as a lieutenant with my qualities.
How do you perform under pressure, are you able to make split-second decisions?: I perform really well under pressure. Split-second decisions however might not be fully accurate cause it might take 5 seconds for me to decide something but, generally yes.
List your three best traits for the Lieutenant position and why do you think they're your best characteristics: Fit, Handsome and a well-trained arms user. I think fit is one of the best traits I have, it gives me more endurance and I’ll be able to run a lot and faster, be more agile in catching those pesky no-gooders. Handsome cause it gives me a charisma boost, so negotiations WILL be better for us. And experience with multiple weapons over the years, because it’s what I need to do for the role of security, especially if I am to become lieutenant. I must know the weapons in and out if I am going to train other recruits in how to use them.

CHARACTER SECTION

Backstory: As an American-born citizen, Owen Burley had a rough childhood, having been abandoned by his mother after his father’s death. He was placed in an orphanage center where he from there lived with many foster families, thankfully most of them being nice and caring. At 16 years old, Owen was in an abusive family, which made him leave and go on in the real world all by himself. He was homeless but through his experience, he learned a lot and taught himself to be a hard, independent person but also because of his history, he taught himself to be funny, caring and overall kind to people. At the age of 18, he was hired in his first job as a security in a mall, rotating between day and night shifts. During this time, Owen saved up with his money to get airsoft equipment. While his passion for airsoft was big, he wanted more and started to go to a firing range to train his accuracy and mobility with firearms, ranging from a standard 9mm Glock to an M4A1 Carbine and Mossberg 500. Nonetheless, between the ages of 18 and 20, he kept at his security job and hobbies. At the age of 20, Owen applied for Black Mesa. Having been hired in 2015, he continued to show up on time to his job and overall be a good sport, eventually climbing the ranks.

Note: I didn’t add a backstory yet since I don’t think it’s necessary considering I just wrote the backstory for my character already. I will add it in the future however when the server opens.

Dear Breezy

After assessing your application along with the required Employee File and having a chat, I've come to a verdict.

I will be setting your application status to DENIED for the following reasons. . .

While your application was quite good, I do believe you could've put more effort into the Employee File.
Some sections are quite empty, you did not include a reference photo either.

You are a moderator within the staff team, you also have a leadership position as a Deputy Head of Engineering which makes me question if you're really going to be able to manage this position including all of your other responsibilities.

When listing the three best traits in your application, I wanted to know what makes you stand out from the rest, I do believe those are good traits to have but they have nothing to do with knowing how to take initiative and lead.

I do commend you for trying, the application itself was quite good but unfortunately you did not meet our expectations.

I will however be giving you the opportunity at a Sergeant role since this was your previous position in the last iteration and I'm confident in your abilities.
